Rising costs and the comprehensive content of our publications.

With constant increases in printing and paper costs being particularly pertinent to us, the affordable selling price of our books has only been made possible by the generous donations of both corporate and individual.

Our books are illustrated with more full colour photographs than any other guides in South Africa, all generously donated by the photographers. Accuracy could only be achieved by the services of researchers who donate an exorbitant number of hours and effort to our books.

Our previous publications have been very successful owing to the comprehensive, authoritative, user-friendly nature of the books and, of course, the affordable price.

The Flora & Fauna Publications Trust was established in 1992 to raise sponsorship for the publication of affordable, authoritative and popular guides on the indigenous plants of the South African summer rainfall area, with the object of stimulating greater care and understanding of our exceptionally rich and unique environment.

We believe our books have turned the tide in gardening, and are creating a greater awareness.
