The Natal Flora Publications Trust was established in 1992 to raise sponsorship for the publication of affordable books on the indigenous plants of KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Region with the object of providing attractive, easy-to-use, authoritative works to stimulate greater understanding of the exceptionally rich plant life and environment of this region. All proceeds from sales are used towards keeping the books in print and to revise them from time to time when necessary. The Trust is totally non-profit making and has only one paid employee. The trust was renamed The Flora Publications Trust to reflect the broader focus of it's mission and in 2008 renamed The Flora &Fauna Publications Trust to enable research and publication on the fauna so integral to our flora.
